The Touch Wall is part of a diffuse project including tool for qualitative and quantitative analyzing of human motion aimed at maximum interaction between the subject and the tool of analysis, with specificities related to the low invasiveness and the marginal presence of the operator.
The MASP (Monitoraggio Aree Sensibili e Protette) project was completed on February 28th 2013 and as final step it has been installed a mobile testbed on the electric bus of the company Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT). This project aims at the development of an air quality monitoring system for sensible and protected areas. The MASP system is made of fixed and mobile nodes that cooperates in a distributed environment.
This testbed realizes an acquisition system in an outdoor environment using a vehicle that runs periodically a default route. Thanks to an agreement with the company Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT), it has been possible to achieve this functionality by using electric bus that cover Star 1 and Star 2 lines. This vehicle has the characteristic of being equipped with an electric engine, which does not emit polluting gases that could interfere with surveys taken by sensors. In his paths, the bus crosses several areas of interest (in terms of sensibility) such as the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) in the center of Turin and areas characterized by high traffic density.
A gateway operating in data-proxy mode, able to receive data from a vehicle and forward them to the server has been installed on the roof of the Polytechnic of Turin. When the bus passes through the area illuminated by the antenna of that gateway, all data collected by the bus are sended to a data server.
Tools For Autism is an application, developed as part of the Touch For Autism (t4A) project, for 10″ and 7″ tablets with Android 4.0 and sup. The aim is to provide a useful tool to help the teaching of behavioral patterns (social stories) and sequences of operations (tasks analysis) to people affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that can benefit from the manageability of a mobile touch screen based device such as tablets, and the possibility to customize the contents and ways to use them.
The GNU Radio SDR toolkit has been cross-compiled to the ARM architecture and executed on an Odroid-X board running Linaro, a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu 12.10.
A USRP device has been connected to the Odroid and interfaced through its UHD device driver. First experiments show that GNU Radio on Odroid is capable of supporting sample rates of over 5MHz while executing fairly complex signal processing algorithms.
AirProbe is the air quality application developed for EveryAware, a project whose aim is to let citizens measure and be aware of air quality around them, through the combined use of a sensor box and this application, installed on an Android phone. The sensor box records the concentration of pollutants in the sorrounding environment, marks them with GPS coordinates and sends them continuously to AirProbe. In this way, AirProbe configures itself as an intermediate point between data collected from sensor box and server that stores them.It is specifically designed to:
show information about the current air quality
record the user trip: it receives georeferenced data (pollutants!) collected in real time from sensor box and shows them on a map
let the user to annotate his “journey”
let the user to see a real time graph showing pollutants

Digital watermarking is the process of computer-aided information hiding in a carrier signal like audio, pictures, video, texts or 3D models. These methods may be used to verify the authenticity or integrity of the carrier signal or to show the identity of its owners and emphasize protecting the royalties
The DVB Hot Spot project is aimed to broadcast the terrestrial digital television signal to confined areas which are not enough or not at all covered by official services.
This is possible by encapsulating the DVB stream in the IP protocol, by sending it through a data network to a remote [...]
Autonomous wireless relay node powered by solar energy
CSP realized a self-powered wireless relay station, released from electrical network and powered by solar energy. Current and voltage information of both power sources and loads are constantly monitored and collected in the CSP’s IoT platform. The architecture designed constitutes a significant advance in the [...]
CSP and the “Fauser” ITIS (technical high school) of Novara work in an education program where researchers from CSP are teaching practical R&D activities. In June 30th a final event for the 2012 activities has been jointly organized in Novara, where the students from Fauser presented their results. Two main projects have been demonstrated: an [...]
Applying scientific and technological research in order to develop the innovation potential locally as well as for business and Public Administrations. This is CSP’s mission - joining technological skills and creative ability and producing value for its clients and parners
