Weather Streamer is an embedded system based on Arduino Diecimila microcontroller board.
It allows weather information sending from a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station to a remote server thanks to the Arduino ethernet shield.
Weather data are requested from microntroller to Davis station using RS232 standard communication protocol, then, using CSP’s modular firmware, are parsed and sent in JSON, APRS and raw format.
The code modularity allows interfacing with other stations making Weather Streamer extremely reusable. Next steps aim to add bidirectional communication from server to Streamer and remote firmware parameters (like information time transmission, now set to 10minutes) modification.
