R&D Organization

Research & Development CSP department  investigates and studies basic, infrastructure and application technologies as well as the new processes made practicable by their use.

It also acts as an incubator for “applying research” in the strict sense as, thanks to thematic labs, the scientific and technical bases of emerging technologies can be understood and practical activities can take place that are adapted to real scenarios based on current “case studies” and near future predictions.

The departement  is organized in the following areas:

About

Started in the early 1990s, CSP was funded to support industries, SMEs, Public Administration and Academia when supercomputing was the core need for their applications. At the end of the 1990s, CSP dropped that first mission to focus on high performance...

Embedded Systems, Mechatronics and Energy Area

This R&D Area works on topics focusing on three main branches as follows. Embedded Systems : microsystems made of electronics, telecommunications and informatics for different applications. Usually main constraints are in terms of energy consumption...

Networks and Wireless Communications Area

The NWC area performs research and development activities in the following fields: • broadband and high-capacity wireless networks, cognitive radio systems and networks; • dense wireless sensor networks, highly reliable and wide coverage systems; • digit...

Software Architecture Development Area

This area covers all technologies related to distributed applications, user interaction, media converging and content security. The activities are organized in three distinc laboratories that are focused on specific research topics. Research Labs...
