A lamp measures the air quality

CSP has been developed a prototype unit for measuring the indoor air quality (IAQ). All sensors are integrated on a customized board and measurement are sent to a server using WiFi connection. A lamp has been suitably modified to accommodate inside the sensors and electronic boards.

Air pollution isn’t only an outdoor problem. The […]

EveryAware project – AirProbe PC Sync application

AirProbe PC Sync

AirProbe PC Sync is the air quality application developed for EveryAware project and for users that do not have an Android smartphone and that cannot use the AirProbe application.

This application can be used on any Windows PC and can transfer data recorded by the SensorBox during the day to the […]

Air quality monitoring on GTT electric bus

The MASP (Monitoraggio Aree Sensibili e Protette) project was completed on February 28th 2013 and as final step it has been installed a mobile testbed on the electric bus of the company Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT). This project aims at the development of an air quality monitoring system for sensible and protected areas. The MASP […]

Air Probe

AirProbe

AirProbe is the air quality application developed for EveryAware, a project whose aim is to let citizens measure and be aware of air quality around them, through the combined use of a sensor box and this application, installed on an Android phone. The sensor box records the concentration of pollutants in […]

EveryAware project – Feel The Environment Android app

One of the objectives of the “Every Aware” project is monitoring some environmental variables of the surrounding environment, such as temperature, relative humidity and some air pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), volatile organic compounds (VOC) and ozone (O3).

For this purpose we developed a dedicated “sensor box” based on an Arduino chipset, that, […]

The EveryAware SensorBox: a tool for community-based air quality monitoring

Paper Abstract:

In the EU-FP7-funded EveryAware project a SensorBox is built that will be used in community-based air quality monitoring in Belgium, Italy and the UK. It is conceived as a portable multisensor array or “e-nose” using commercially available electrochemical and metal oxide gas sensors that have shown to react to traffic-related pollution. Further tests […]

MASP – Monitoraggio Aree Sensibili e Protette

The MASP project aims at the development of a monitoring system for sensible and protected areas. The MASP system made of fixed and mobile nodes that cooperates in a distributed environment. Mobile nodes can be installed on the public transport system in order to build a mobile network for the real-time measurement of the air […]

There is now overwhelming evidence that the current organisation of our economies and societies is seriously damaging biological ecosystems and human living conditions in the very short term, with potentially catastrophic effects in the long term. The enforcement of novel policies may be triggered by a grassroot approach, with a key contribution from […]
